Athletes are to abide by the rules and conduct listed in the HCS Student Handbook. An athlete may be suspended for one or more games for excessive misbehavior during school. Athletes who receive disciplinary action will meet with the Athletic Director and administration prior to action being taken. If an athlete is suspended or expelled from school, they will become ineligible to participate in HCS practices or athletic events.

The purpose of Heritage Christian Schools' athletic program is to teach the value of health, wellness, and the importance of commitment. However, the enjoyment of participating in any form of athletics can overshadow the classroom learning environment that Heritage Christian School has committed to providing to each individual student. As such, students participating in extracurricular academic programs must maintain a 2.0 GPA at all times. Additionally, students
may not be under any active disciplinary provisions.
 
Students hoping to participate in the athletics program must submit a completed Virginia High School League Athletic Participation/Parental Consent/Physical Examination form before the beginning of the sports program (by August 15).
